11 Famous People Who Are So Close With Their Costars They Officiated Their Weddings
Sex Education star Connor Swindells married Peaky Blinders‘ Amber Anderson earlier this month. Connor’s onscreen father, Alistair Petrie, officiated their wedding in Scotland.
1. Millie Bobby Brown married Jake Bongiovi earlier this year. Their second vows ceremony was held in Tuscany, officiated by Matthew Modine, Millie’s Stranger Things costar.

Speaking to Access Online, Matthew said, “I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea. So I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife.”
3. Jesse Tyler Ferguson served as officiant when his Modern Family costar Sarah Hyland married Wells Adams in 2022.

Sarah originally asked her onscreen dad Ty Burell to officiate, but he had a family emergency and couldn’t attend the wedding, so Jesse stepped in. “It came down like, 10 days before the wedding. I did not have any notice,” Jesse said. “And you can’t say ‘no.’ She already knew I was going to the wedding, so it’s like it’d be like, ‘Oh, I’m busy that weekend. I couldn’t get out of it.”
