20 Deleted Scenes From Kids Movies That Were Deemed Too Inappropriate To Make It To The Final Cut

The death of Bambi’s mom in Bambi was originally going to be much more graphic.

2. There was a deleted scene from Lilo & Stitch that showed Lilo trying to get racist tourists off of the beach.

In the scene, Lilo and Stitch were on their way to the beach when they ran into several tourists. One looked at Lilo and yelled, “Speak English?” Soon after, another one shouted about her, “Oh look, a real native!”

Lilo and Stitch decided to trick everyone. They knew that the sirens at the beach were due for a test run that day, so they warned the tourists of the “big, hundred-foot waves” that were coming and told everyone that they should leave the beach.

Then Lilo yelled, “Tourists, prepare to die!” Seconds later, the siren went off, and the tourists left the beach in a panic. After all the tourists had left, Lilo said, “If you lived here, you’d understand.”

7. In an interview, the film’s editor, Kent Beyda, revealed that there were several cut scenes in which Velma showed romantic interest in Daphne. One of these scenes showed Velma seemingly drunk and singing “You’re Too Good to Be True” to both Daphne and Fred.

Scott made a joke about Neil’s mom’s number being “1-800-SPANK-ME. This number actually was the number for lines that lead to adult content, and there were concerns that this joke would lead to children dialing up the number in real life.

20. And finally, there was an alternate ending of The Lion King that was much darker than the original one.

In the alternate ending, Scar would win the fight with Simba and throw him off of the rock. Simba would’ve survived the fall, but Scar would believe Simba to be dead. The flames on the Pride Rock would draw closer to Scar until they burn him alive. Disney producers didn’t want to go with this ending because they felt it was a tad too horrific.
