21 Non-American Actors Whose American Accents Are So Convincing, Fans Literally Couldn’t Believe They’re Not From The USA

Recently, I asked the BuzzFeed Community which non-American actors they think can do the most convincing American accents.

Here are 21 of their top answers:

1. “Jacob Anderson’s American accent was phenomenal! I didn’t believe for one second he was actually British!”

2. Alan Cumming. Thick Scottish accent, and you’d never know. Amazing actor. Needs more love.”

3. “Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton in Yellowstone. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I found out she is British.”

4. Oliver Stark (Buck from 9-1-1) — I almost didn’t believe my ears when I heard him in an interview.”

5. “Hugh Laurie. He’s impeccable as House, and I would have never known he was British.”
