I know they say, “money can’t buy happiness,” but I’m sure it helps.

In 1994, the Microsoft billionaire spent $30.8 million on Leonardo Da Vinci’s Codex Leicester notebooks. The 72-page document contained his personal sketches and ideas about topics like astronomy, mechanics, botany, mathematics, and architecture from the 1500s.

The rapper and singer, bought the most expensive Magic: The Gathering card of all time. For those in the dark about this game like I was, MTG is a “trading card game where players summon incredible creatures and cast powerful spells to defeat their foes. The game has thousands of cards so you can always find a way to express yourself on the battlefield.”

Post Malone, who happens to be a longtime fan of the game, purchased the one -of-a-kind “One Ring” card for $2 million. The sweet exchange was captured on TikTok.

3. Nick Cannon

The media mogul got a $10 million insurance policy on his balls. The father of 12 told Entertainment Tonight, “I had to insure my most valuable assets, because you hear about like all these different celebrities insuring their legs… so I was like, ‘Hey, well, I got to insure my most valuable body part.’” Nick wanted to ensure “nothing goes wrong,” because he doesn’t plan on expanding his family anytime soon.

4. Adrien Brody

Loverboys, it’s your time to shine! In 2007, the Oscar-winning actor gifted his then-girlfriend, Elsa Pataky, with a castle for her 31st birthday. Although I don’t know the exact cost of the upstate New York 19th-century estate, if they were able to reportedly conduct a 35-page spread for Hello magazine in various rooms throughout the place, it’s safe to say he spent a pretty penny.

Unfortunately, their relationship ended in 2009 and Elsa married Chris Hemsworth in 2010.

5. Lil Uzi Vert

In 2021, rapper Lil Uzi Vert debuted an Elliot Elliante 11-carat pink diamond embedded in the middle of his forehead, worth $30 million. But just four months after showing it off, Uzi took it off. He told TMZ, “I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out.” Apparently, the diamond was able to be clipped and locked into place on his face.

Uzi still reportedly has the diamond but doesn’t wear it.

Scientists recommend getting eight hours of sleep to feel energized to take on the day. Well, it looks like the Harry Potter star took this extremely seriously, when he invested in his mattress. Daniel reportedly bought a custom-made Savoir mattress for $17,000 in 2007. It’s stuffed with horsetail from South America and cashmere wool from Mongolian goats.

7. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

While I’m sure it’s not the first gift he’s bought him, this is one of the first that have been made public. In 2018, after 17 years of service, Dwayne granted his longtime stunt-double Tanoai Reed with a brand new, custom pickup truck worth $30,000. The sweet moment was captured on video.
