The Weeknd to celebrate huge milestone with special headlining gig
The Weeknd was just announced as the headliner of the first-ever Spotify’s Billions Club Live concert in Los Angeles.
He will be celebrating being the artist with the most songs on the streaming platform that have garnered over a billion streams.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, would be taking the stage of the concert that would be held exclusively for top fans on Spotify.
On Tuesday, December 17, the Blinding Lights hitmaker’s set list would be including a selection from his 24 total songs that belong to the Billions Club, such as tracks like Starboy, Die for You, The Hills and Save Your Tears and many more.
Billions Club Live is one of Spotify’s initiatives and an extension of the Billions Club, enabling fans to celebrate their favourite artists hitting the career milestone of one billion streams on the music giant’s service.
Additionally, The Weeknd is also set to release his sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, on January 24, marking the third and final instalment of his trilogy, the consists of 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM.
