Jamie Foxx has received stitches after being attacked with a glass in an altercation on Friday.

The Academy Award winner, 57, was enjoying his birthday dinner with his daughters Corinne and Anelise and his ex Kristin Grannis at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hill, California when he was allegedly involved in an altercation, TMZ reported.

Jamie’s rep has shared his wellness update, assuring that the matter is being dealt by law enforcement.

“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” the spokesperson told People Magazine.

“He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

The police were called to the restaurant around 10 p.m. local time regarding the alleged fight, TMZ cited law enforcement sources.

Jamie was no longer present by the time authorities arrived. Foxx’s name was allegedly listed as part of an assault report taken of the incident, the publication added.

Foxx’s birthday dinner comes just days after the actor and comedian celebrated the release of his Netflix special, which chronicles his medical emergency that began on April 11, 2023.

In the special, Fox confirmed that he suffered a stroke that almost killed him while on the Atlanta set of Back in Action—which is set for a January 17 release on Netflix.

He is also co-writing and directing the comedy All-Star Weekend, featuring Jeremy Piven, Robert Downey Jr., Eva Longoria, and others.
