Jim Carrey teases ‘The Mask’ sequel
The Mask was an iconic role for Jim Carrey, and he is open to a sequel to the 1994 film, saying he is looking for the “right idea.”
“Oh gosh, you know, it has to be the right idea. If somebody had the right idea, I guess,” The Truman Show star told Comic Book.
The legendary actor also said he may reprising his Christmas-hating Grinch — but with a condition.
“Oh, gosh, you know, if we could figure out the Grinch,” he shared. “The thing about it is, on the day, I do that with a ton of makeup and can hardly breathe. It was an extremely excruciating process.”
“The children were in my mind all the time. ‘It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids,'” the 62-year-old said.
“And now, with motion capture and things like that, I could be free to do other things. Anything is possible in this world,” he noted.
In the meantime, Jim said the Sonic 3 was why he came out of retirement.
“I came back to this universe because, first of all, I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch. And I bought a lot of stuff, and I need the money, frankly,” he told AP.
