A Source Reacted To Reports Of “Tensions Behind The Scenes” Of “The Kelly Clarkson Show”

Kelly was recently absent from the show for almost two weeks, leaving guest hosts to fill in for her.
If you missed it, Kelly recently sparked concern after being absent from the show for nearly two weeks. Guest hosts filled in for her as sources told Entertainment Tonight that Kelly was away dealing with an undisclosed “family emergency.” She returned to the show on March 18 after 10 episodes but notably did not share why she was out.
Fast forward to this week, when the Daily Mail released a report claiming insiders have reported seeing “a dramatic change” in Kelly’s behavior since returning to the show, fueling “tensions behind the scenes.”
They claimed Kelly was once friendly, chatty, and “accessible,” taking a genuine interest in their lives. “She’d stand at your desk and just talk,” an alleged staff member said. “Ask about your life. She knows the names of everyone’s husbands and kids and would ask about them by name.” But now, they say, things are different.
“It’s just a very weird vibe now,” one reported employee said. “We’re all walking on eggshells,” said another.
However, a source has pushed back on their claims. The insider told Entertainment Tonight, “Kelly is back to herself and all seems relatively back to normal.”
It comes days after Kelly shared her frustrations about being unable to attend her kids’ school events during the week due to work obligations.
She has two children, 10-year-old daughter River Rose and 8-year-old son Remington Alexander, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
“Our kids don’t understand, and we just look like assholes when we’re not there,” she told Kylie Kelce on her Not Gonna Lie podcast. “Then they go, ‘Why was this mom there?’ And then you have to say, ‘Because that kid got a better mom,'” she teased.
