After SZA Was Caught Looking Horrified By Benson Boone Grabbing His Crotch On The Grammys Stage, Benson Has Issued A Public Apology

Benson Boone has issued a public apology after grabbing his crotch while onstage at the Grammy Awards last night.

For reference, the 22-year-old singer performed his viral song “Beautiful Things” at the ceremony — and it was pretty NSFW from the start.

In case you missed it, Benson enlisted Heidi Klum and Nikki Glaser to rip off his clothes near the beginning of the song, with the two women unveiling a skintight blue jumpsuit hiding underneath his suit.

After the electric performance, Benson blew a kiss to the crowd and said: “Thank you, I love you, LA.”

He then reached down and inexplicably grabbed his crotch, which didn’t go unnoticed by viewers at home — or the celebs in the audience.

In fact, SZA ended up going viral after she was caught on camera looking unamused at the end of Benson’s song, although it’s not known if this was directly related to the crotch-grab or his performance as a whole.

Somebody else shared the brand new meme of Beyoncé’s shocked reaction to winning the Best Country Album award last night, and added: “Benson Boone grabbed his balls after he was done…mom come pick me up.”

Another popular tweet reads: “I will be thinking about Benson Boone’s crotch grab for…a WHILE.”

And now, Benson has taken to his Instagram story to apologize for the move as he explained what was actually going on. 

Sharing a shirtless selfie of himself seemingly lying in bed soon after the ceremony, Benson wrote: “Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight.”

While Benson did get a viral moment from this year’s Grammys, he did not walk away with any actual awards.
