“I know Melissa Schemmenti from ‘Abbott Elementary’ would be celebrating like no other today.”

Last night, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 22–40 to win Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. The win marked the Eagles’ second Super Bowl in the last seven years as they knocked off the Chiefs from earning a historic three-peat.

Going into the game, the Chiefs were 15–2 in the 2024 regular season and had won the last two Super Bowls. This loss was big as it’s considered one of the worst losses in the Patrick Mahomes era of the Chiefs, with the team going scoreless in the first half.

Meanwhile, the Eagles were 14–3 in the regular season and made some important moves in the off-season, including getting Saquon Barkley from the New York Giants.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP at the end of the evening, which was a big moment considering Hurts and the Eagles lost to the Chiefs in the 2023 Super Bowl.

A lot of people are ecstatic that the Eagles pulled out this win, but there is one group of people in particular that everyone is excited for: the cast, crew, and characters of Abbott Elementary.

As soon as the game started, people started reacting to the possibility that if the Eagles could knock off the Chiefs, then Quinta Brunson would likely write a god-tier episode of Abbott Elementary where they acknowledge the Super Bowl win.

Last year, Abbott Elementary notably aired an episode following the Super Bowl, which featured now-former Eagles center Jason Kelce, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham, and Hurts.

Like, Quinta is already out here dunking on the Chiefs, and I am living for it.

If Abbott Elementary does, in fact, do a Super Bowl-centered episode, what do you hope it includes? Tell us in the comments below!

Personally, I need to see Melissa climbing a light pole after the mayor of Philly specifically said not to.
