Archies birthday photo highlights royal discrimination against Prince Harrys son?

Meghan Markle on Tuesday used what appeared to be a melancholic picture of Prince Archie as she marked his sixth birthday.

The son of Prince Harry stood facing the sunset in the photo his mother chose to post on Instagram

The photo came just days after the Duke of Sussex extended an olive branch to the royal family.

The photo, which otherwise would have been seen as a beautiful photo depicting a mesmerizing sunset along the Pacific Ocean, is set to stir speculation about Meghan’s intention behind her choice of picture.

Given the royal family’s reported anger at Harry over his BBC interview, it’s highly unlikely that Archie would receive birthday messages from his London-based royal relatives.

The son of Harry spends his birthday thousands of kilometers from his birthplace in the UK, far from his grandfather’s embrace that he would have been covered with if things had not unfolded the way they did.

Archie’s birthday seems to be a stark contrast to Prince Louis, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s son who celebrated his seventh birthday on April 23, 2025, in the UK surrounded by royals where he was born.

After losing his legal challenge on Friday to Britain changing his security arrangements, Harry said,  “I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”

“I miss the UK. I miss parts of the UK. Of course I do. And I think that it’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”

Although Harry’s remarks suggested he is yearning for reconciliation, his allegations against King Charles seem to have further widened the rift between the father-son duo.

In his interview, Harry highlighted the importance of peace, while mentioning the fragility of life.

“I don’t know how much longer my father has,” he said in his BBC interview.

In his interview, Harry threw the ball into the king’s court after making it clear that he wants peace but it’s up to the royal family whether they want it or not.
