On Nov. 22, Forbes released a cover story on Cooper along with a video interview with the podcaster, where she told the outlet that speaking with Harris on her podcast, which tackles topics like sex and advice for women, was “totally worth it.”
“[Harris’ team] reached out to me, and I recognized that maybe in a different election it wouldn’t be the case, and who knows in future elections what I’ll do, but this specific election, the entire focus is on women’s bodies, and we’re losing rights by the day, and so, to have the most popular female podcast, where most women listen to the show in the country, it felt like a no-brainer,” Cooper said.
In October, Cooper uploaded an interview with the Democratic presidential nominee in the final weeks of her campaign. The interview was met with criticism from right-wing social media users after they accused Cooper of not diving into more urgent issues like Harris’ policies.
