Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Jost turned his real-life ferry investment into comedic material during the show’s May 3 episode.

In a sketch titled Ferry Altercation, hosted by Quinta Brunson, Jost appeared in a surprise cameo as a fictionalized version of himself trying to sell the decommissioned Staten Island Ferry he purchased with Pete Davidson in 2022.

Brunson and Mikey Day portrayed characters arguing from their parked cars aboard a ferry. When Day’s character mentioned his love for ferries, Jost, dressed in a Hawaiian shirt, tapped on the car window, joking, “If you love ferries, would you like to buy one?”

According to US Weekly, Jost’s attempt to sell the boat was met with awkward refusals, prompting him to pivot his pitch by joking, “Hey, I’m Pete Davidson!”, referencing his fellow Staten Island native and co-investor in the ferry, which the duo plans to convert into a multi-purpose entertainment venue.

Moreover, Davidson has previously revealed that the project, which includes plans for a restaurant, theater, and hotel rooms, is still in development and could take up to five years to complete.

Additionally, the two comedians have been working with investors to raise nearly $100 million for the ambitious transformation.
