Demi Moore gives update on Bruce Willis’ dementia
Demi Moore is looking out for her ex-husband Bruce Willis amid his battle with dementia.
The actress, 62, confirmed in a recent CNN interview that the Die Hard star, 69, was “in a very stable place at the moment.”
“And I’ve shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely. It’s so important for anybody who’s dealing with this to really meet them where they’re at, and from that place, there is such loving and joy.”
Moore, who shares three daughters with Willis, said it had been “very difficult” to watch the dad of five struggle, saying, “[It’s] not what I would wish upon anyone.”
“There is great loss, but there is also great beauty and gifts that can come from it.”
Willis’ family revealed his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia in February 2023 shortly after he retired from acting due to his struggle with a brain disorder known as aphasia—which affects speech and understanding of language.
In October, his wife Emma Heming opened up about his dementia battle and said she doesn’t “shield” her daughters from the diagnosis.
Bruce tied the knot with Heming in 2009. The pair share two daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10.
