Despite His Huge Earnings, “Stranger Things” Star Finn Wolfhard Explained Why He Chose To Move Back Home With His Family After Living Alone

The 22-year-old actor isn’t the only young celebrity who has opened up about choosing to live with family over living alone.
The actor has reportedly earned huge figures for his role as Mike Wheeler in the hit series — as have the rest of the Stranger Things main cast, per Business Insider.

However, in spite of how much money he might have, Finn, now 22, has revealed that he opts to live at home with his family.

Speaking with People this week, Finn revealed that he lived alone while shooting Stranger Things, though ended up moving back into his family home afterwards.

“I lived alone for a few years, I guess two years, and then I moved back in with my family for a year. And then, last year, I was living alone in Atlanta for the year while shooting Stranger Things, but I have since moved back in with my family,” he said.

“We have a place in Vancouver. We all have our separate space, but we still live together, and it’s great,” he went on, before explaining why he enjoys living at home.

“I rarely get to see my family. I think it’s a nice home base to have, just because, if I’m going to be away for most of the year working, then I might as well have a place [to come back to] with my parents,” he shared.

Not only is Finn’s reasoning super sweet, it makes total sense — and he certainly isn’t the only star who has chosen to live with his family amid fame. In 2022, Billie Eilish, then 20, revealed that she was still happily living at home with her parents. And back in 2016, Zendaya — then 19 — memorably opened up about the perks of living with her mom and dad on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
