‘Devastated’ Mariah Carey issues disappointing news over holiday shows
Mariah Carey just cancelled two more of her anticipated holiday shows.
After revealing how she was suffering from flu, the iconic songstress has taken the difficult decision of calling off her New Jersey and New York shows.
Addressing the places, Carey took to her official X, formerly Twitter account, to pen, “Newark and Belmont — I wish I had better news but unfortunately I’m still sick and have to cancel the shows tonight (December 13) and on Sunday.”
“I’m really devastated about it and appreciate your support. Love, MC,” the All I Want For Christmas Is You hitmaker added along with a broken heart emoji.
The only additional show Carey has left to perform is on Tuesday, December 17, at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, however, she has not made any comments as to whether or not she would perform.
This post comes two days after the Emotions crooner cancelled her Pittsburgh concert just hours before she was set to take the stage, with the tweet:
“Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I’ve come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much.”
Mariah Carey has not mentioned whether she would be rescheduling the concerts for later dates as this time of the year already remains quite a busy one for the Queen of Christmas.
