Diddy backs Jay-Z amid bombshell lawsuit
Sean Diddy Combs is throwing his weight behind Jay-Z as he was accused along with him in a damaging lawsuit.
The embattled music mogul’s legal team called out the addition of the Grammy winner in an allegation of raping a minor.
The lawsuit was updated to include the Roc Nation chief’s name where the Bad Boy Records boss was already accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old.
“This amended complaint and the recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee exposes his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are,” Diddy’s legal team told TMZ. “Shameless publicity stunts.”
“As his legal team has said before, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor,” the statement read.
Attorney Tony Buzbee filed the lawsuit in October—which is now amended—alleging Diddy and JAY-Z “drugged and raped a thirteen-year-old girl at an afterparty following the 2000 Video Music Awards.”
It also mentioned a female celebrity “stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor.”
It is relevant to mention here both musicians have fiercely denied the accusations.
