Florence Pugh makes shocking revelation about her ‘abusive’ role in ‘Midsommar’
Florence Pugh has made a shocking revelation about her Midsommar role.
The actress has recently talked about the emotional toll her role in the horror film took on her.
During her conversation on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, Pugh revealed that she “abused” herself to give the intense performance.
Speaking about her challenging roles, the We Live in Time actress said, “There have been some roles where I’ve given too much and I’ve been broken for a long while afterwards. Like when I did Midsommar, I definitely felt like I abused myself in the places that I got myself to go.”
“I mean, the nature of figuring these things out is you need to go, ‘Alright, well, I can’t do that again ’cause that was too much.’ But then I look at that performance and I’m really proud of what I did, and I’m proud of what came out of me. I don’t regret it,” she added.
Pugh noted, “But, yeah. there’s definitely things that you have to respect about yourself….”
It is worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time Pugh opened up about her experience, previously in March 2023 she revealed that her time on Midsommar was most draining.
