From Protesters To Celeb Cameos, Here’s Everything That Happened During Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show

1. Samuel L. Jackson kicked the show off while dressed as Uncle Sam — and he kept popping in throughout the performance:
2. Then Kendrick kicked off the show with what seemed like an unreleased song — while standing on top of an actual GNX, referencing the titular car mentioned on his new album:

3. After doing “Squabble Up” on top of a staircase surrounded by dancers…

4. Kendrick launched into “DNA” as the dancers formed an American flag around him:

5. On a huge stage made to look like an empty street, Kendrick ran through one of his Drake disses “Euphoria,” as well as “Man at the Garden” and “Peekaboo” — the last song delivered at the center of a giant X:

6. After teasing “Not Like Us,” Kendrick brought out SZA(!!) as a special guest to duet with him on “Luther” and their Black Panther song “All the Stars”:

7. Then Kendrick launched into “Not Like Us,” omitting the word “pedophile” from the song but letting the audience shout along (very loudly!) to the infamous “A MINORRRR” line:

8. And to close things out, he brought out Mustard for GNX hit “TV Off”:

9. And as he walked off field, a bunch of drones spelled out “GAME OVER” in the stands:

10. Also! They didn’t show this on TV, but a protestor hopped up on the GNX during the performance and held up a flag to call out the current human rights crises playing out in Sudan and Gaza:

11. Of course, security removed the protestor during the performance as well.
