Glen Powell Was Finally Asked About Sydney Sweeney Attending His Sister’s Wedding Amid Her Reported Split From Jonathan Davino, And His Answer Is Very Interesting
Sydney was pictured with Glen at his sister’s wedding amid reports that she’d called off her and Jonathan Davino’s two-year engagement.
For those who missed it, Sydney was pictured at Glen’s sister Leslie Powell’s wedding over the weekend. Her attendance at the event immediately fueled dating rumors — something that the pair have sparked in the past, when promoting their 2023 rom-com Anyone But You.

It turned out that Sydney and Glen were playing up to all the speculation about their then-apparent affair while promoting the film, with Glen telling the New York Times, “The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry. That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully.”

Nevertheless, fans have continued to discuss their palpable chemistry ever since. And these dating rumors were heightened when it was reported that Sydney had called off her two-year engagement with Jonathan Davino just after she was pictured at Leslie’s wedding with the Powell family.

According to People, Sydney — who has been romantically linked to Jonathan since 2018 — decided to call off their wedding and end their relationship “because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”

“She didn’t feel right about it,” the insider added, claiming, “They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”
With this in mind, Glen was finally asked about all the buzz during an April 2 appearance on The Today Show.

When asked if he was surprised that “the wedding caused a little bit of a stir,” Glen said with a laugh, “Timing is everything in this world, isn’t it?”
He added, “I mean, [Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends. It was a hell of a wedding. The Powells know how to do it right, so all the people that love her were there.”
“It was just such a fun, rowdy wedding. The Powells know how to crank it up,” he said.
