Gwen Stefani gushes over Coachella reunion with ‘No Doubt’

Gwen Stefani is in awe of her recent reunion with No Doubt on Coachella stage.

The singer, 55, got candid with U.K. magazine HELLO! about the nostalgic experience taking the stage with her former bandmates for the first time since 2015.

“Performing at Coachella and feeling all that love for us after all this time was kind of overwhelming,” Stefani told the publication, per BANG.

“We hadn’t done anything together for so long, so to do that and be there for each other, with all of our families, meant so much to me.”

The singer continued, “It had been so long but it was as if we had never been apart,” adding that she still feels “incredibly lucky.”

The band, complete with Tom Dumont on guitar, Tony Kanal on bass, and Adrian Young on the drums, headlined the Indio, Calif. music festival in April where Olivia Rodrigo also joined Stefani and No Doubt onstage for Bathwater.

Stefani stunned in a ’90s-inspired outfit of ripped black tights, cutoff denim shorts, and a white tank top.

The onstage reunion came after Stefani hinted to Rolling Stone in 2016 that a reunion in the studio was unlikely because they had “grown apart as far as what kind of music we want to make.”

“I was really drained and burned out when we recorded [2012’s Push and Shove],” The Voice coach added. “And I had a lot of guilt: ‘I have to do it.’ That’s not the right setting to make music.”

No Doubt formed in 1986 and released six albums throughout their time together, with their most recent in 2012.

However, Stefani was certainly eager in January to relive the earlier onstage spark with the No Doubt reunion.

“It just happened so fast, and that’s my favorite kind of thing to happen. We haven’t really figured out the next steps of how we’re going to do this, but we’re just all so excited,” she told People Magazine months before taking the Coachella stage.

“And I think really just watching the internet blow up [with] how excited that the fans are? It’s inspiring us.”
