Hailey Bieber Called Billboard A “F*cking Joke” For Ranking Justin Bieber As The 8th Best Pop Star Of The Century, And Fans Have Mixed Opinions

I knew the list would stir up some drama, but I didn’t have THIS on my bingo card…
If you’ve been anywhere on the internet recently, you probably know Billboard has been slowly releasing their list of the 25 “Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century.” And it’s been generating a TON of discussion.

Sorry, sorry, I simply can’t put my Kanye hatred aside.
As of Nov. 22, they only have the top two spots left to announce — which will likely belong to Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, in an order to be revealed soon. That suspense has brought its own fair share of debates.

Aside from that discussion, people have already found a LOT of problems with the list. Like, personally, it feels absurd that Gaga is only at number 5. And putting Miley Cyrus at number 15 is absolutely criminal given her cultural influence and talent.

In what universe is Adele a bigger pop star than Miley Cyrus??? And, uh, where is my queen Kelly Clarkson?
The internet is sounding off as per usual — but several celebrities have also been vocal about the artists who were snubbed. That includes The Weeknd, who recently called out Billboard for snubbing Lana Del Rey.
where is Lana on that billboard’s greatest pop star list ?

And another celeb sticking up for a potentially snubbed artist on this list? None other than Hailey Bieber. She recently defended Justin Bieber, who Billboard ranked as the 8th best pop star of the 21st century.

Here’s how it went down: Billboard shared an Instagram post announcing Justin Bieber as number 8, and Hailey commented with her (very) candid thoughts. The comment has since been deleted, but screenshots have gone viral on the internet.

You know what they say — nothing you delete online is ever actually gone.
“Billboard is a fucking joke as per usual!

Of course, this has gotten the internet all fired up — and it seems like everyone’s got an opinion. Some agree with Hailey, and think Justin deserves higher on the list:
y’all are ridiculous to think he shouldn’t at least be top 5, let’s stop being delusional for a second

I’m asking again… Show me someone with these kind of achievements at such a young age… Then I’ll agree she’s wrong…
•Youngest soloist to earn 8 #1 albums in the US
•Youngest to reach 100M RIAA units
•8 #1 hits in the US
•4 RIAA Diamond singles
•Most songs and…— ……. (@TylerCliff2) November 21, 2024
But it looks like even more people disagree that Justin deserved higher on the list — that, or simply think number 8 is an incredible achievement as it is:
As someone who grew up during the rise of Justin Bieber, I admit I’m probably biased in thinking he should be in the top 5 — or at least above Drake. But hey, it’s just a lighthearted, fun list, so let’s all chill out a bit! They’re all multi-millionaires anyway

Plus, I’m honestly just saving my energy for when the top 2 comes out — because either way, I’m gonna have to defend Taylor.
