Halle Bailey reflects on major style change after becoming mom

Halle Bailey’s fashion sense has changed since she became a mother a year ago.

Bailey welcomed her son, Halo, in January 2024. The actress says she now dresses more boldly.

“I want to do more and be more exciting, especially with jewelry,” the Little Mermaid star told People. “It’s so much fun to dress up more as a mom.”

The actress shares her love of sparkly jewelry with her son.

“He loves everything sparkly, and when something shines,” she said.

This comes after the actress stunned on the blue carpet at the 2025 Met Gala earlier this week.

She sported Coach and lab-grown Zales diamonds. She wore a beaded two-toned peplum blazer with an even glitzier minidress and platform heels.

Other than jewelry and her son, Bailey finds joy in her career. She’s making new music and also stars in an upcoming comedy film alongside the likes of Julianne Moore and Jesse Eisenberg.

In another film, she’s set to star alongside Bridgerton‘s Regé-Jean Page. The film will be shot in Italy, and Halle Bailey says she can’t wait to travel with Halo.
