Hilaria Baldwin Responded To Someone Who Told Her She’d Be “Nothing” Without Alec Baldwin After She Was Accused Of Being “Horrible” To Him In That Viral Interview

With the release of their new TLC reality series, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin have been everywhere in the past few weeks. However, it was a recent clip of the married couple on a red carpet that reaaaaally got the internet talking.

Last week, Hilaria and Alec attended the grand opening of Planet Hollywood, where they chatted with Extra on the red carpet. The host brought up The Baldwins and asked about the possibility of a second season, but as Hilaria attempted to answer the question, her husband kept jumping in with wisecracks. “The Hilaria Show… It’s gonna be great. You’re a winner,” he said, talking over her.
In Alec’s defense, he wasn’t saying anything too offensive. However, Hilaria certainly did not love being interrupted — prompting her to call him out there and then. As if speaking to a child, she said: “When I’m talking, you’re not talking. Shh. No. When I’m talking, you’re not talking.” Alec stared blankly into the camera as Hilaria held up an arm to block him out of the frame. “This is why we’ll just have to cut him out of the show,” she added.
Hilaria returned to answer the reporter, and Alec left her to get on with it, walking away from the interview. However, the bickering didn’t end there, as Alec soon returned to talk about his “sillier” contributions to the reality show — which only prompted Hilaria to shut him down again. “No, we just cut all that part out,” she interjected.
Things then got even more awkward when Alec seemingly poked fun at all the Spanish accent controversy by asking his wife what the Spanish word for “essential” is. “Why are you distracting me?” she hit back, to which Alec sarcastically replied: “I’m just captivated by your beauty.”
Whether it was supposed to be a bit or not, the whole thing felt suuuper awkward. As a result, viewers couldn’t help but share their thoughts, with people calling it a “bad moment” and others even accusing Hilaria of being “horrible.” “She was trying to be cute or funny and it just came off as annoying and rude,” one user commented on TikTok, while another added: “never thought I would feel sorry for Alec.”

Now, with people online debating whether or not they secretly hate each other, Alec and Hilaria have responded to the backlash — reassuring fans that this is just a fun regular occurrence in their marriage.

In a video posted to Hilaria’s Instagram page on Wednesday, the couple dramatically mouthed along to an audio clip of their viral interview. When the audio finished, Hilaria asked, “And that is called, what’s the word of the day?” to which her husband replied: “Manterrupting.”

“It could be a positive, it could be a negative, or it could be a…,” she added before Alec finished her sentence and suggested it could be a case of “correctile dysfunction.” “The whole point is that we interrupt each other all the time,” Hilaria said, talking over the sound of one of their seven children attempting to get into their room. “Or sometimes our kids interrupt us,” she added, as the pair burst into laughter.
The couple kissed and made up. However, Hilaria wasn’t quite done joking about the viral conversation. In a follow-up video posted hours later, Hilaria — responding to a comment that said, “She’d be nothing without him” — asked Alec: “I’m having a lot of women tell me they’d treat you better than I’d treat you. Do you want to make a change? So you can talk more?” Alec, who had his eyes closed, attempting to sleep, replied: “Yeah, I think this isn’t working.”
