Millennials, our time has come! Nostalgia has taken over Hollywood for the past few years, from reboots of shows we originally grew up watching (Bel-Air, Gossip Girl, etc.) to some of our childhood heartthrobs having a resurgence of appreciation (we see you, Adam Brody) — the 2020s were made for us.

And that also goes for fashion. Trending styles that might seem new to a certain generation tend to be things that were once popular for an older generation. Well, Nelly’s Apple Bottoms have entered the chat.

On Thursday, the “Hot in Herre” rapper announced on Instagram that he’s relaunching Apple Bottoms — a brand he initially debuted in 2003.

“Don’t call it a comeback!!!! Wanna see what I’ve been up to,” Nelly wrote in his caption. “Make sure you sign up for behind the scenes access and our First Big Kick Off!!!!”

If the name Apple Bottom is new to your eyes and ears, let me give you a little refresher on how popular this brand was. In 2006, it was the sixth most-Googled denim brand, right behind labels like Rock & Republic, True Religion, Diesel, and Guess.

It was also referenced in several chart-topping hits like Twista’s “Overnight Celebrity,” Eminem’s “Shake That,” and most famously, Flo Rida’s “Low” — “Shorty had them Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur. The whole club was lookin’ at her.”

First, he rekindles his relationship with Ashanti, then they get married and have their first child together. Now this? Nostalgia is winning this year. And honestly, I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair of those jeans!
