Josh Hartnett opens up about making ‘Fight or Flight’ in his 40s

Josh Hartnett recently revealed how it felt making action movie Fight or Flight in his 40s.

The 46-year-old actor attended the screening of his new action-comedy, Fight or Flight, in New York City on Monday, May 5, and during the Q&A, he confessed he “was super excited to have this script” because it provided him with a chance to bring out the best of his skills he has not taken advantage of for a while.

Hartnett said, “I’m in my 40s; I haven’t done a stunt since I was 29. So, to have anybody trust that I could pull this stuff off was very exciting.”

James Madigan, the film’s director, also shared that the Pearl Harbor actor told him, “I really want to do all my own stunts,” the very first time they talked.

“And I was like, ‘Well, that would be amazing, but it’s a very tight schedule,’ and we didn’t really have much prep [time], and that’s usually when you would figure that kind of thing out. And I was like, ‘I really hope that happens, but this is really hard,’” Madigan recalled.

“A hundred percent of the stunts that you just saw, Josh did,” the director added.

In addition to the Iron Man 2 director’s remarks, Hartnett quipped, “We had an amazing stunt team and these guys helped me every step of the way.”

“They made me look really, really good,” the Oppenheimer star admitted.
