Jude Law took a trip into the past as he recalled his late mother died just before he was due to achieve a notable honour.
The actor received Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday in Los Angeles.
He later revealed that the ceremony had been rescheduled following the death of his mother.
For the unversed, the 51-year-old actor’s mother Maggie died just after he found out that he was to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Law told People, “It’s been actually quite a long process because I found out and was originally going to have the service a couple of weeks back.”
“And actually, I lost my mom,” the actor continued, adding, “So we had to delay it.”
However, he noted that the honour served as a “final gift” from her amid his grief.
Law went on to say, “But in a very odd way as a kind of final gift, it meant that a few more of my family could actually be here.”
According to The Order actor, the whole event had been quite an emotional experience.
He also called it a “very personal occasion and really touching”.
The Eden star shared that his family was a great deal of support amid the whole event.
