Jude Law reveals his wife’s reaction to bearded look for ‘Firebrand’
Jude Law’s wife Phillipa Coan forgot how attractive he was as she saw him with a beard for a year.
Jude grew a beard for his role as King Henry VIII in Firebrand and later a mustache for his latest film The Order.
While promoting The Order during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he was asked if his wife liked the beard and mustache looks.
The Sherlock Holmes star replied: “Well I’d just done a film where I played Henry VIII where I had this huge beard and then I shaved that off and kept the ‘tache.”
“And then the summer I finished and I’d shaved it off, we were on holiday and I catch her looking at me this one afternoon and she’s like’ the star then raises his eyebrows and smirked.”
“And I’m like ‘what?’ and she’s like ‘I just remembered you’re really attractive.’”
“And it’s like, poor love, she’d put up with me for nearly a year with all this” he gestured around his face while laughing.
Elsewhere in the interview, Jude Law revealed why he grew his own mustache, saying, “You can’t be using a glue on moustache because every time you smile it pings off, so it’s easier to grow it and my wonderful wife put up with it.”
