Katy Perry is taking notice of negative feedback about her overseas performances.

The pop star, 40, kicked off the North American leg of her Lifetimes Tour at the Toyota Center in Houston on May 7.

While performing Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), Perry paused to share a message to her critics during an instrumental break.

“Show them this when they say I can’t dance!”

The musician then threw in her dance moves, flailing her arms and legs as if she was doing jumping jacks before pulling up her skirt and flashing her backside to the audience.

Perry’s tour kicked off on April 23 with a show at Arena CDMX in Mexico City but her choreography was met with heavy criticism with some calling it “embarrassing” and “cringe.”

Perry has been at the centre of controversy ever since her recent historic Blue Origin space flight.

Last week, Perry addressed the negativity she’s seen on social media via Instagram.

“When the ‘online’ world tries to make me a human Piñata, I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed,” she wrote in an April 29 comment.
