King Charles invites special guest to join him for royal Christmas reunion at Sandringham
Royal family will witness a special reunion as King Charles has invited a key member of the family to celebrate Christmas with him at Sandringham.
The monarch’s step son, Tom Parker Bowles, recently revealed that he has plans to join his mother Queen Camilla and the rest of the Royal family members at Christmas.
In an interview with Telegraph, the British food writer revealed that he is considering attending the event after his mother expressed her wish for him to spend the holiday with her.
He further stated that the Queen Consort was particularly keen for him to accept the invitation this year, following a challenging two years that included the King’s cancer diagnosis and her own pneumonia diagnosis.
“My mum said, ‘I’d love you to come, I haven’t had Christmas with you for a long time,’ ” he told the publication.
Parker Bowles said he and his family may join the Royals, revealing that the Christmas invitation has always been there.
“It has been a hell of a two years for them,” Parker Bowles said, referring to Charles and Kate Middleton’s cancer scares and his mother’s pneumonia diagnosis.
“The older you get, the more conscious you become of mortality, especially with illnesses and the rest of it,” he added.
