Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet have been dating since 2023, but they made their red carpet debut just now!

While the couple has been spotted together on several occasions, they made their red carpet debut at the 2025 Met Gala recently.

Now, the sex and relationship coach Gemma Nice has explained the possible reason behind their wait, as per Not on The High Street.

Calling the move “healthy,” she stated, “it also gives you the time to test the waters and the relationship to grow, especially coming out of the ‘honeymoon’ period.”

She added, “they have given their relationship a complete soft launch, and this is to protect them as a couple away from prying eyes.”

Gemma noted that the couple “may want to avoid” the public attention, suggesting, “Some celebrities like to keep their relationships out of the media.”

She also suggested that they “most likely” communicated the decision themselves since they’re aware of the “pressure” it can bring.

Notably, Gemma also pointed out that since Timothee is first time dating a reality TV star he “most likely wants to maintain a professional acting career and not get swept up in Kylie’s high-profile life.”

The coach said that Timothee Chalamet wants to be recognised by his career, not Kylie Jenner.

“He wants to be recognised by the world for his professional work rather than who he is dating, while also keeping his relationship with Kylie out of the spotlight to protect them both,” the expert added.
