Now that her Lee Quinzel era is out of the way (which, okaaaay fight me, but I thought Joker: Folie à Deux was kind of a slay and at LEAST it brought us LG6.5 aka Harlequin…), we can focus on what really matters — a new sure-to-be-iconic-ahead-of-its-time-unafraid-to-reference-or-not-reference pop album by the one and only Lady Gaga.
Earlier this year, Lady Gaga surprised fans with the cryptic message “LG7 GAGA RETURNS” at the end of the HBO Original Gaga Chromatica Ball concert special. And now months later, we finally have an update — with Gaga officially announcing that the first single “DISEASE” off LG7 is dropping Oct. 25.

On top of that, Lady Gaga also released a teaser trailer for the music video, which shows her running away (wearing BLACK hair of all things… gag!!) while a car chases her down.

For context, it’s been more than four years since Gaga’s had a proper album rollout (I’m not counting her “Die With A Smile” collab with Bruno Mars here). Like… this is what the world was like when the first song off Chromatica dropped:
