The 26-year-old rapper posted a concerning Instagram video from his hospital bed on Monday night.

On Monday night, Lil Nas X concerned his 10.4 million Instagram followers when he posted a video from a hospital bed and revealed that he had “lost control” of half of his face. The 26-year-old rapper showed fans that he was unable to smile because his right side was seemingly paralyzed.

Wearing a hospital gown and a cap, Nas appeared to be in good spirits as he awkwardly laughed at his situation and said: “When I smile… This is me doing a full smile right now, by the way,” showing viewers that he could not move the right side of his mouth.

“What the fuck, bruh?” he went on. “I can’t even laugh right, bro — what the fuck? Oh my god.” The star then shook his head in apparent disbelief before abruptly concluding the video with: “Oh my god, bro… So… Yeah.”

Nas hasn’t yet shared any insight into his official diagnosis, but he has repeatedly taken to his Instagram story to reassure people that he is OK. In one post, he added Huey’s 2006 hit “Pop, Lock & Drop It” as he wrote: “Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me! Shake ur ass for me instead!”

He then shared a selfie and added: “Imma look funny for a lil bit but that’s it.” In a follow-up video, Nas said that he could smile a little better now, but his “right eye is stubborn.”

In the clip, he demonstrated winking as he explained: “OK, so, lil update, already getting better… I’m still like… Honestly, you can see this left side is blinking, this right side is keeping an eye out for Selena, it do not give a fuck. Like, this is me trying to do a wink: I can force it to shut, but…”

Kudos to Nas for managing to maintain a sense of humor amid this whole thing — needless to say, we are sending him all the well-wishes for a speedy recovery!
