Lil Wayne has a wish to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, but it has yet to be fulfilled.

He looked back at last year’s event, which happened in his hometown of New Orleans and was headlined by Kendrick Lamar.

Some in the hip-hop industry considered this a snub to the Lolipop rapper. Meanwhile, in an interview with Rolling Stone, he said, “They stole that feeling. I don’t want to do it. It was perfect.”

The 42-year-old was so hurt he said that he didn’t watch K.Dot’s performance.

“Every time I looked, it was nothing that made me want to go inside and see what was going on,” the A Milli rapper recalled.

Wayne revealed that the feeling of being snubbed was doubled down by how the NFL encouraged his public appearances.

“To perform, it’s a bunch of things they’re going to tell you to do and not do, a*ses to kiss and not kiss,” he told the magazine.

He continued, “If you notice, I was a part of things I’ve never been a part of… I’m doing **** with Tom Brady. That was all for that.”

“You ain’t never seen me in them types of venues. I ain’t Drake. I ain’t out there smiling like that everywhere. I’m in the (studio), smokin’ and recording.”

Though, the Sucker for Pain rap star shared that an official from the NFL apologized to him, explaining how choosing who will perform at the halftime show is not under their hands.

But in the end, Wayne stressed he had no beef with Kendrick after he performed at the event.
