Lizzo takes the spotlight with new move post 2025 Met Gala
Lizzo just unveiled her latest music video which she filmed at the 2025 Met Gala.
The US pop star, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, gave a glimpse into the video for Still Bad (Animal Style) in a stream on Twitch.
This came after she took to her official Instagram account to tease her fans, showing the song’s mp3 file, with the caption, “DROPS TONIGHT,” adding, “MEET ME ON TWITCH! 5PM!” before posting the complete video.
Still Bad (Animal Style) is an alternate re-recording of her existing single, Still Bad, which she originally debuted in March this year.
In the video, the About Damn Time singer can be seen arriving at Vogue’s Met Gala in a black and white gown before the clip cut to her running through the streets of New York City.
Writing on BlueSky, about the decision to re-release the song, Lizzo noted, “I like the demo version more and I had people in my head telling me that it wasn’t good enough.”
“But I’m learning it’s not about what’s good enough, it’s about what I WANT,” she further added.
It is also pertinent to mention that Lizzo’s upcoming album, Love In Real Life is set to be released in the summer of 2025, marking the first time the musician would put out an album ever since she was sued by ex-dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, for s**ual, religious and racial harassment.
