Mick Jagger’s fiancée Melanie Hamrick shares her thoughts on 44-year age gap

Mick Jagger’s fiancee Melanie Hamrick finds their 44-year age gap amusing.
The 37-year-old former ballerina and author was attending the New York City Ballet 2025 Spring Gala when she had a chat about their relationship with the press on Thursday.
“He’s younger than me,” Hamrick told Page Six, laughing. “He’s amazing, really is.”
The couple, who also share an eight-year-old son Deveraux “Devi” Octavian, first met in February 2014 in Japan. He was touring with the Stones, while she was on the road with the American Ballet Theatre.
Four months later, Jagger invited her to join him in Zurich and they welcomed their son in 2016.
“We’ve been engaged two or three years. Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything,” Hamrick told Paris Match.
In the same interview, she gave some insight into the secret behind the pair’s relationship: “We try to support each other, be there for each other, and make sure everyone is happy. That’s all that matters to me and all I strive for.”
Back in 2023, the author also shared her views on their relationship status.
“I mean, I have to giggle because did Mick give me the ring? Yes. Is it for that finger? Yes,” she told People Magazine at the time while promoting her debut book First Position.
“In my mind, it’s a promise ring. We’ll be immature and call it a promise ring,” the former ballerina added.
