Nicolas Cage reveals rare stance on inspiring events, groups: ‘Empowering’

Nicolas Cage recently weighed in on his feelings about multiple groups and events named in his honour.

In his latest confessional with The Guardian, the legendary acting sensation discussed a myriad of different topic including his thoughts on having various events and groups named after him.

These included Scotland’s first Nicolas Cage festival, Cage-a-rama, and the musical act Cage Against the Machine.

When asked about these rare tributes in the chat, the Oscar-winning acting sensation shared that he was unfamiliar with one of them.

“I am not familiar with that musical institution,” Nicolas stated, referring to Cage Against the Machine.

However, he expressed his appreciation for another musical group inspired by his persona and said, “I am familiar with a hard rock band out of Australia called Nicolas Cage Fighter, and I think they’re terrific.”

“Their songs are empowering. The lyrics are all about taking ownership of your mistakes, never being a victim, figuring out how you can fix your problems,” he explained.

“‘Re-evaluate your life / Focus on yourself / Look me in the eyes again / Tell me that none of this is your fault.’ They’re not afraid to write songs that are about where you have to own up to your mistakes,” he concluded the topic mentioning some of the songs’ lyrics produced by the band.
