Prince Harry, Meghan Markle still relying on Royal connections

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still holding on to their royal status despite stepping back from the Royal family and ditching their roles.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive podcast, PR expert Mark Borkowski said the Duchess of Sussex’s use of the HRH title gives her social advantage as royal connections are seen as impressive.

Borkowski explained that the royal title might help her get better treatment or attention in high-profile circles, like getting a top table at a restaurant.

This comes after Meghan appeared for a candid interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show when host Jamie Kern Lima flaunted the gift basket she got from the Duchess.

The gift containing homemade strawberry sauce and ice cream had a card which was signed “With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”

“Well, it’s clearly social capital. I’m sure her PA uses it to ensure that she gets that top table at a restaurant,” he said.

“It will have a huge weight in America to have that kudos of still having that sort of royal aura around her.

“It is hypocritical. I’m sure she uses it a lot because it is something of value, particularly in the social circle she moves in.

“It’s not a great look in my estimation.”
