Prince William marks ‘historic moment’ just days after Prince Harry’s claims

Prince William has paid tribute to veterans and their families during a special service marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day at Westminster Abbey.
On Thursday, the Prince of Wales took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt message.
Sharing a series of photos and clips from the event, William called it a “powerful reminder” of sacrifice of war veterans. The first video clip showed the Prince of Wales as he laid wreath at the the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.
The special message in the caption wrote, “Attending today’s VE Day 80th anniversary service at Westminster Abbey was a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who served.”
“An honour to mark this historic moment and give thanks alongside veterans and families,” it further stated.
William was also joined by his wife Kate Middleton, father King Charles, and step-mother Queen Camilla.
Notably, the Thanksgiving ceremony began with two-minute silence, also observed across the country.
It is worth mentioning that this thoughtful message by Prince William comes just days after Prince Harry’s bombshell interview.
Harry has reportedly left the royal family “hurt” again after his shocking interview with BBC. During the interview, the Duke of Sussex expressed his wish for reconciliation but also admitted that some members of the royal family will “never forgive” him for writing Spare.
