Princess Diana’s brother releases emotional statement after devastating news
Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer has issued an emotional statement following devastating news, saying “I’d really appreciate it.”
Taking to X, formerly Twitter handle, Prince William and Harry’s uncle said, “Thanks to the Althorp team for their emergency work since the weekend’s floods.”
He said, “Yesterday I managed to find my way out of Lower Harlestone and walk around the village. I’m told that there are over 25 homes flooded. I did chat to quite a number of people. The overwhelming sentiment was one of gratitude to people who helped, and that definitely included the estate team. Everyone said how helpful and prompt your team had been to clear.”
Spencer continued, “I know you will all be working really hard over the coming weeks for your tenants and for the village generally, but if you could find a moment to pass on a message of thanks to the Estate team I’d really appreciate it.”
Spencer released the statement after reports strong winds and heavy rain from storm Bert battered much of Britain again on last Sunday, causing “devastating” flooding particular in Wales, with around 100 flood alerts in place nationwide, according to AFP.
