If your social media feeds are anything like mine, you’ll be fully aware that Sabrina Carpenter recently kicked off her Short n’ Sweettour in the US.
Thanks to her beloved “Nonsense” outros and iconic “Feather” choreography, Sabrina has been no stranger to viral moments in her live shows over the years — and it seems this tour is no different.
From her bedazzled towel outfit-reveal intro to her “Juno” sex position bit, clips from the Short n’ Sweet tour are already racking up millions of views on TikTok. However, amid all the love, some fans have been slightly critical.
Last week, a concertgoer posted a TikTok video of the star performing her hit single, “Espresso.” In the comments section, other users questioned whether or not Sabrina was “actually” singing live, prompting the original poster to share a second video a few days later.
The follow-up clip showed Sabrina singing “Please Please Please. In response to questions about her vocals, the user suggested that Sabrina only sang live for “40%” of the show they saw.
Before long, fans were divided in the comments section, with many coming to Sabrina’s defense. But now, we’ve had a response from the pop star herself.
Setting the record straight, Sabrina commented on the video: “i sing live every show 100% would you like to speak to my audio engineers.”
You tell ‘em, Sabrina. You can find the TikTok clip here.
