Scarlett Johansson Reacted To The “Gross” Joke About Her Vagina On “SNL” That Colin Jost Had To Read

“I just can’t believe that they went there.”
Scarlett Johansson shared what she really made of husband Colin Jost’s viral SNL Weekend Update joke about her from December.

In case you missed it, Colin had to read jokes that his cohost, Michael Che, wrote while live on air (and vice versa). One of the jokes Colin read was about Costco’s roast beef sandwich being removed from their menu.

Colin read, “Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from its menu. But I ain’t trippin’. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.”

Cut to Scarlett herself backstage, looking very surprised:
Last month, when asked if he was still in “trouble” with her for the joke, Colin said, “I’m in trouble, I think, with a lot of people. Scarlett was genuinely so shocked.”

Now, we have it straight from the horse’s mouth. “It was so vulgar,” Scarlett told InStyle in a new interview. “I just can’t believe that they went there. I was like — it was so gross. It was really gross.” With a laugh, she added, “And, like, old-school gross.”

“My experience of it was so funny,” she continued, noting that she was told by producers that there would be an unspecified vagina joke. “I was like, I mean, it’s a vagina joke, how bad could it be? And then as soon as the Costco photo came up, I was like No! No, Michael!”
