In case you missed it, Colin had to read jokes that his cohost, Michael Che, wrote while live on air (and vice versa). One of the jokes Colin read was about Costco’s roast beef sandwich being removed from their menu.

Colin read, “Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from its menu. But I ain’t trippin’. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.”

Last month, when asked if he was still in “trouble” with her for the joke, Colin said, “I’m in trouble, I think, with a lot of people. Scarlett was genuinely so shocked.”

Now, we have it straight from the horse’s mouth. “It was so vulgar,” Scarlett told InStyle in a new interview. “I just can’t believe that they went there. I was like — it was so gross. It was really gross.” With a laugh, she added, “And, like, old-school gross.”

“My experience of it was so funny,” she continued, noting that she was told by producers that there would be an unspecified vagina joke. “I was like, I mean, it’s a vagina joke, how bad could it be? And then as soon as the Costco photo came up, I was like No! No, Michael!

As for her documented reaction, she said, “The fact that it took on a full To Catch a Predator-style reveal or whatever, that was so intense. All of a sudden, it was like a whole bunch of people holding up lights, and a guy with a video camera. They were waiting for me to react. I felt insane.”
