Sean “Diddy” Combs might have just given up, for now.
It was reported that as per a new court filing, the disgraced music mogul has dropped the attempt to get released on bail.
Combs’ lawyer informed the Second US Circuit Court of Appeals that the rapper had decided to have is request for bail withdrawn.
“Mr. Combs does not seek to appeal the district court’s denial of his renewed motion and hereby moves to voluntarily dismiss the appeal,” the filing stated.
It also features a statement from Combs himself, where he assures that he is aware of the ramifications of dismissing the appeal.
Hence, the document further read, “Mr. Combs hereby states that (a) counsel has explained the effect of voluntary dismissal of the appeal; (b) he understands counsel’s explanation, and (c) he desires to withdraw and voluntarily dismiss the appeal.”
Additionally, Combs has also been allowed access to a computer as he is set to appear for trial on the charger of s** trafficking, racketeering and transport to engage in prostitution.
As per E! News, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is detained at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) – has been issued a laptop on which he can review his criminal case.
The decree, which was approved by Judge Arun Subramanian read, “The MDC is ordered to give Defendant access to the Discovery Laptop seven days per week from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This can be in his unit’s visiting room or in his unit’s VTC room.”
