Sir Elton John discusses ‘the worst thing’ about his ‘temper’

David Furnish just recalled how his now-husband, Sir Elton John, struggled with vulnerability in the beginning.
In a cover story for TIME, the 62-year-old filmmaker stated how the iconic musician “was very shut down in terms of accepting love” when he first met him at a dinner party in 1993.
“He was very, very shut down in terms of accepting love,” Furnish stated, recalling, “No one had ever asked him to do personal things like go for a walk together, those kind of joyful things.”
Additionally, the Hakuna Matata hitmaker also noted how Furnish is aware of his short temper, noting how his “fuse is very short.”
“The worst thing about my temper is that David is very rational about things and he’ll explain,” the 77-year-old British pianist mentioned, noting, “And I’ll get even madder about it.”
Now, even though Sir Elton John has his temper under control, he has admitted to getting cross sometimes, as he told the outlet, “I will flare up if I’m tired, if I’m exhausted, if I’m overwhelmed.”
“I don’t like having that temperament, but it’s all usually done and dusted within five or 10 minutes,” the Rocket Man singer clarified.
