Snoop Dogg has set his sights on Gregg Wallace’s former MasterChef role, aiming to enlist top chefs.

According to The Mirror’s report, the 53-year-old legendary American rapper assured that he is “not playing” when it is about food, claiming that he provided Gordon Ramsay some tips regarding cooking over the years.

He articulated, “You better believe Snoop could be the new MasterChef judge.”

“My boy Gordon [Ramsay] judges on the US version of the show, and I know he would back me to be able to judge on the UK version,” the Bad Decisions crooner mentioned.

“He knows I am not playing when it comes to food. He knows I can cook—I have even given him some tips,” Snoop confessed.

Further, Snoop called the role the “perfect opportunity” because he wanted to host a UK TV show for quite some time.

Moreover, this comes after TV veteran Wallace was involved in a scandal over misconduct.

For the unversed, Wallace stepped down from his job as MasterChef presenter after 13 people, such as Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark, accused him of inappropriate behaviour over a 17-year period, from 2005 to 2022, across five shows.

The same outlet reported that BBC is working to keep the show going for “at least the next four years,” and Snoop is interested in the role, even though chefs like James Martin are already rumoured to be in the race.

It is pertinent to mention that Wallace had already concluded filming the upcoming series for amateur chefs in November this year with his co-presenter John Torode.
