It’s official: Beyoncé is the Grammy Award winner for Best Country Album!

Taylor Swift, who previously won the award for 2008’s Fearless, went on stage to present the award.

Lo and behold, Cowboy Carter ended up getting the win. As her name was called, Beyoncé looked especially shocked:

“Oh my god. Wow, I was really not expecting this,” she said upon taking to the stage. “I want to thank God, oh my God, that I’m still able to do what I love after so many years.”

After thanking “all the incredible country artists that accepted this album,” she continued, “I think sometimes genre is a cold word to keep us in our place as artists and I just want to encourage people to do what they’re passionate about and stay persistent.”

The singer further thanked her family — Blue Ivy and Jay-Z were both in attendance — and concluded, “I’d like to thank God again and my fans and I still am in shock. Thank you so much for this honor.”

The win is especially noteworthy given that Beyoncé was snubbed from this year’s Country Music Awards, which did give accolades to country newcomer Post Malone.
