Terry Crews has made a shocking revelation about his role in Training Day.
During an appearance on Club Shay Shay, the 56-year-old actor and TV host said that he didn’t receive payment for starring in the 2001 thriller-crime film, but his “heart is always full of gratitude.”
“I have never ever, ever looked at whatever money I got as a horror story. You can’t nod yes and mean no,” said the the Brooklyn Nine Nine alum.
“I didn’t get zero [for Training Day], but it changed my life forever,” continued Terry. “You wouldn’t know who I was if it weren’t for a no-paying job.”
The White Chicks star compared himself to an athlete, revealing that no player begins their career for money.
“When they start, they get no money. They play football for free. They play basketball for free,” said Terry.
“Then, you get all the way to the pros, and you get the millions. There’s no other way. There’s no way to hop, skip and jump this thing,” he further said.
“If I did it, I loved it. This keeps my heart always full of gratitude,” Terry added.
