There’s A New Report On The Origins Of The Alleged Feud Between Brooklyn And Nicola Peltz Beckham And The Beckham Family

There’s a new update in the rumored feud between Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham and the wider Beckham family.

There’s been speculation that something’s been amiss since before the pair tied the knot in 2022, as Nicola didn’t wear a Victoria Beckham dress for the nuptials. Both Nicola and Brooklyn went on to shut down feud speculation, with the latter telling Variety, “I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”

However, there has been a resurgence in speculation since the couple didn’t attend David Beckham’s 50th birthday, nor were they acknowledged in the social media posts. Since then, Brooklyn and his brothers, Cruz and Romeo, appear to have been subtly shading one another on Instagram, with conflicting reports suggesting that Romeo may be dating someone who Brooklyn used to date (however, this is unverified).

Just this week, Brooklyn took to Instagram to write, “I will love you forever x I always choose you baby.” Cue a bunch of comments about the importance of family, blah, blah. Following this, a source just went to People to talk about one of the original sparks of this whole thing — Victoria’s alleged behavior at the wedding.

“Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding,” the source said. “Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up…Victoria Beckham!'”

A second source said that “it wasn’t appropriate” and that everyone saw “Nicola run from the room crying.” They continued, “Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn’t understand was why.”

A third source then said that the dance issue had come up in their recent rift, adding, “They’ve tried to make peace, but every time they finally have a happy moment, it all falls apart again…Brooklyn feels torn. It’s his family and blood, but he’s always had a complicated relationship with his dad. A lot of their relationship has felt like ‘business.’”

Interestingly, this does resemble a DeuxMoi blind item from 2022, which read, “[Marc’s] speech was the most awkward thing as he did not mention Nicola or her family at all. dedicated a song to VB and Brooklyn which set Nicola off – literally ran out crying and her entire family went after her. When the mom and son dance ended Brooklyn ran directly outside. They did not come back until the after party.” It also echoes what sources previously told tabloids around the time of the wedding.
