Yvette Nicole Brown’s Husband Literally Hid Behind Bushes To Pull Off This Wedding Surprise — Baby, Real Lovers Are Back
It’s like the kids say nowadays, “If he wanted to, he would.”
Get your tissues ready because things are about to get really emotional up in here! Yvette Nicole Brown shared the special gift her husband gave her on their big day that left her in tears.
The Emmy-nominated actor recently tied the knot with Anthony Davis in a dream wedding on Dec. 14 — a day the 53-year-old star wasn’t sure would ever come.
The two met in their 20s and rekindled in 2021 after Yvette’s mom died. They dated for three years before taking their relationship to the next level. According to People, the couple wed in front of 200 of their closest family and friends in what she described as an “intimate, classy and fun” ceremony in Los Angeles.
And in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Community star gave fans a sneak peek inside her wedding by sharing one of the things that made the day one she’ll never forget.
“My husband surprised me with my dad,” Yvette said in a tearful response. “He’s wheelchair-bound and when we were planning the wedding, I didn’t think it was even possible for him to even be here.”
“I put a picture of him on my bouquet because I knew he couldn’t be here. And he was here. It was the best surprise ever.”
She then brought her dad on camera and kissed him gently as she reflected on the moment.
Anthony then explained how he was able to pull off the surprise by secretly coordinating it with her father’s caregivers: “I planned this from the very beginning. We were calling each other on the phone…I was behind the bushes.”
“The look on her face when she saw him, that was everything. It was worth everything.”
What a beautiful love story. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
