Zendaya delivers sweet words for Angelina Jolie

Apart from being a fantastic actor, Zendaya says she has an interest in filmmaking. However, she admits she was hesitant—then Angelina Jolie stepped in.

The Dune actress gushes over the Lara Croft star who has a history of directing multiple movies to make her nervous go away about direction.

“You truly are an amalgamation of all these genius people’s ideas,” she shares on THR Actress Roundtable. 

“That’s what we were just talking about (gestures at Jolie) with directing because I would love to direct one day and you’ve been able to do it — and in a beautiful way.”

“Something that makes me so nervous is [directing], and [Jolie, before] was like, ‘But there are people to help you.’ There are these gorgeous teams of people that we get to work with that create just as much as we do, the characters that we play,” the Challengers star notes.

In other news, Angelina raves about her kids as she accepts her award at the Palm Springs International Film Awards.

“There was Maria and there was Callas; Callas was loved, but Maria was often alone. But I’m around today because when I walk off this stage, I am more myself because of you, Zahara, and your brothers and sisters. I love you,” she says.

“I am very honored to be here tonight with so many artists I have long admired. But to everyone who is there as a support to a celebrated artist, tonight and every night, who is there with kindness and understanding, thank you. You make everything possible,” Angelina concludes.
